Pond Management

Purpose Statement:

To provide leadership in maintaining and enhancing the life span of Migeon Pond under the direction of the Master Plan

Sub Committee Objectives:

  1. Develop a plan to control/ remove phragmites.
  2. Identify and remove harmful plant life that deposits organic leaf matter into the pond (large crown leaf trees, barberry, multi-flora rose, bittersweet should be targeted)
  3. Encourage the development of native plants and wildlife along the perimeter of the pond
  4. Perform selective dredging of the swimming areas
