At YMCA Camp M.O.E., our staff is the heart of our camp experience. Every team member is dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for campers to explore, grow, and make memories. Our team brings diverse skills and a shared commitment to inspiring each child who joins us.
Julie Kittredge
Director of Community Engagement & YMCA Camp M.O.E.
Julie started her career at the YMCA working in early childhood education. She then became the afterschool/TORYMCA coordinator. Julie has a background also in mental health and addiction, paring with youth development. Julie excels in fostering supportive, inclusive, and engaging environments where campers can grow emotionally, socially, and physically. In her spare time you can find Julie enjoying many sporting events with her family, traveling and coming up with the cheesiest jokes .
Ben
Assistant Camp Director
Ben’s journey with YMCA Camp MOE began when he was a camper himself, sparking a lifelong connection that led him to become a counselor and, now, Assistant Camp Director. His deep familiarity with camp traditions and his commitment to youth development bring a special energy to his role. When he’s not at camp, Ben is inspiring young minds as a local schoolteacher, blending his passion for education with his love for the outdoors.
Angie Veilleux
STEM and Creative Arts
Angie is returning for her third summer at YMCA Camp MOE! Angie studied Art and Education at Northwestern Connecticut Community College and Central Connecticut State University, and she brings over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Currently employed as a paraprofessional, Angie has a passion for inspiring young minds. When she’s not at camp, you can find her painting or hiking with her kids.
Michael Ivain
Boating Director
Michael joined YMCA Camp MOE in 2022, bringing expertise in boating safety and leading high-adventure activities like the zip line and climbing wall. His attention to safety and enthusiasm for outdoor fun make him a favorite among campers. Recently graduated in computer programming, Michael combines his tech skills with a love for the outdoors, creating memorable and safe experiences on the water and beyond.
Abygale Petrie
Lead Counselor
Joining for a third year Abby is the lead counselor of the Chipmunk group. Abby specializes in organizing dynamic activities that foster confidence, teamwork, and a love for adventure. Committed to safety, creativity, and positive role modeling ensures every camper has an unforgettable and memorable outdoor experience. In her free time Abby is a star on the volleyball court or volunteering at the local afterschool programs.
